2025 Award Categories
Rising Star
Open to individuals with less than five years of experience in privacy, security, compliance, or data ethics who are already making a significant impact in their field. Entrants should demonstrate leadership potential, creative problem-solving, or early career achievements that set them apart.
Author/Creator
Recognizes creators of standout content, books, articles, podcasts, newsletters, or other media—that have contributed meaningfully to the public or professional understanding of privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, or AI ethics. Submissions should show originality, relevance, and measurable reach or influence.
Best Privacy Programme Award
Awarded to an organization that has implemented a robust and proactive privacy program with demonstrable results. Entries should highlight strategy, scalability, team involvement, and positive impact on consumer trust and regulatory compliance.
Most Innovative Platform/Software of the Year
Honors a platform, tool, or software solution that has introduced breakthrough innovation in privacy, compliance, or data governance. Applicants should explain how the product uniquely addresses market needs, solves existing problems, or advances the state of the industry.
DE&I Leadership Excellence Award
Celebrates individuals or teams who have made measurable strides in embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion into privacy, cybersecurity, or tech governance programs. Entrants should showcase initiatives, leadership, and sustained impact in building inclusive cultures and equitable outcomes.
Data Justice & Equity Award
This award is for individuals, teams, or organizations advancing fair, just, and equitable treatment in the use and governance of data. Applicants should highlight efforts that address bias, systemic inequities, or disparities in data practices.
Responsible AI Advocate of the Year
Awarded to an individual leading the charge for ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence in business or public systems. Submissions should detail how they are influencing AI governance, reducing harm, or increasing transparency and accountability.
Privacy Champion of the Year
Recognizes an individual who has shown outstanding dedication to advancing privacy rights, policies, or practices either within an organization or across the broader industry. Applicants should demonstrate a clear track record of advocacy, thought leadership, or program execution.
Compliance Champion of the Year
Awarded to a leader who has driven excellence in regulatory compliance and risk management through innovation, leadership, or transformative initiatives. Submissions should reflect significant outcomes in navigating complex legal or regulatory landscapes.
InfoSec Champion of the Year
This award highlights a professional who has taken bold steps to strengthen information security practices and reduce organizational risk. Entrants should share how they have led by example, responded to threats, or influenced cultural change around security awareness.
Outstanding Lawyer of the Year
Celebrates a legal professional whose work in privacy, data security, or AI regulation has made a significant impact. Applicants should highlight thought leadership, legal innovation, and successful client or community outcomes.
State Privacy Law Leader of the Year
Recognizes a policy leader, legislator, or advocate who has played a pivotal role in shaping or advancing privacy legislation at the state level. Entries should demonstrate influence, collaboration, and a strong vision for consumer data rights.
Outstanding DPO
Recognizes a Data Protection Officer who has demonstrated exceptional performance in safeguarding data rights, managing compliance, and acting as a trusted advisor to their organization. Entries should reflect strategic leadership, regulatory acumen, and stakeholder trust.
Privacy Engineering Excellence Award
Awarded to a leader advancing privacy protections within healthcare or health tech. Submissions should show how the nominee has addressed challenges like sensitive data handling, HIPAA compliance, or ethical health data use.
Consumer Advocacy in Data Rights Award
Recognizes an organization or individual actively protecting or promoting consumer rights in the data economy. Entrants should provide evidence of impact through policy work, litigation, awareness campaigns, or product design.
Privacy in Health Leadership Award

Law Firm of the Year
Awarded to a law firm that has delivered outstanding service in privacy, cybersecurity, or data-related law. Submissions should showcase innovative legal work, successful client outcomes, and thought leadership in the evolving regulatory landscape.
Cyber Security Team of the Year
Celebrates a team that has shown exceptional skill, collaboration, and results in protecting digital assets and responding to cyber threats. Entrants should highlight achievements in defense strategy, incident response, or organizational resilience.
Compliance Team of the Year
